Meet Our Founder
Dr. hope J Link
FOUNDER OF LINK-WISE LEARNING
Dear Friend in Learning,
It is my privilege to welcome you to Link-Wise Learning Collaborative, a space built to unlock the full potential of learners, parents, and educators alike. Whether you are here to support your child, strengthen your own learning journey, or refine your teaching strategies, I want you to know how honored I am to share this journey with you.
I’m Dr. Hope Link, the founder of Link-Wise Learning and a lifelong advocate for self-regulated learning, metacognition, and the science of learning development. With a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and a career dedicated to understanding how people learn best, my mission has always been to bridge the gap between research and real-world learning success.
Throughout my research and professional experience, I’ve seen firsthand how every learner has a unique "learning code"—a personal set of strategies, motivations, and strengths that shape how they engage with knowledge. Too often, learners struggle not because they lack ability, but because they haven’t been taught how to take control of their own learning process.
My passion for this work is deeply personal. As a student with an unknown learning difference, I experienced years of frustration before having a lightbulb moment in high school—when I realized that my struggle was a challenge I could accept and control. I began seeking out difficult academic tasks, not avoiding them. But I didn’t do it alone. I had advocates, teachers, and newfound confidence. Looking back, I now understand that I had become a self-regulated learner—and metacognition was my superpower.
Since then, I have devoted my career to studying and researching human development, cognitive learning processes, and education psychology. I have served as an associate professor, college and career counselor, director of academics and guidance, and program/clinical director in K-12, higher education, and private educational entities—roles that have given me a broad and deep understanding of how learners grow across diverse settings.
I created Link-Wise Learning to provide learners, parents, and educators with the tools, strategies, and insights to unlock learning success through self-regulation, executive functioning, and metacognitive development. My goal is to offer a comprehensive and personalized approach that meets the needs of all learners, helping them become independent, motivated, and confident in their abilities.
For me, learning isn’t confined to a classroom—it’s woven into every aspect of life. As a mother of three dynamic children, I have lived this philosophy, advocating for their learning and celebrating their unique educational journeys.
When dyslexia emerged as a challenge in my family, I experienced firsthand the power of differentiated learning strategies—not just as a researcher, but as a parent walking the path alongside my children. This experience deepened my appreciation for learning differences and reinforced the importance of personalized, research-backed approaches that truly support each learner.
My family stretches a line of love from Eastern Arkansas to Middle Tennessee, and whether we’re getting lost in nature’s grandeur or piecing together a 1,000-piece puzzle, we embrace the truth that our strengths are in our differences—and our differences are strengths to be celebrated.
Learning is a lifelong journey, and I deeply value the opportunity to support you along the way. Whether you're here for guidance, collaboration, or inspiration, I welcome you with open arms. I look forward to working together and unlocking new levels of learning success!
With gratitude,
Dr. Hope J. Link
